  1. Are the shells treated in any way to avoid breakage?
    The shells are completely natural. Through trial and error I've learned which varieties are more brittle and prone to breaking, and I don't use shells that seem too fragile. I also "field test" many of the pieces to see how they hang while worn, and have never broken a shell on a finished piece. Although my products are natural and affordable, I treat my personal shell jewelry with the same care I would treat a piece of fine jewelry, and have never had a problem.

  2. Why do I have to register online for an account with you?
    When you register, your contact and delivery details are stored securely online in your account, so you do not have to resubmit your details every time you place an order. When you make a purchase, all you have to do is log in and your details are prefilled during the checkout process. You can also check the delivery status of your current orders, view your previous orders and update or amend your contact details online by logging in.

  3. The piece I was thinking about buying has been sold. Can you make another one?
    Since all the shells are different, I can't reproduce any of the pieces. I can duplicate a design idea, like a shell fragment with a bead inside - but the shell will be different. Some pieces like the stretch cord shell bracelets I can make more of. But again, they won't be exactly the same. And, I do remove older pieces from the site to make room for new ones. I put them away for trips to craft fairs & such. Register as a customer and send me a "Contact Us" email. If the piece you were looking at has just been removed in favor of something newer, of course it's all yours! But if it has been sold, I'll certainly try to create something brand new and one-of-a-kind that you'll love.

  4. Which methods of payment do you accept?
    Currently we accept payments by PayPal.

  5. How do I make a purchase if I don't have a Paypal account?
    You can still pay through Paypal with a credit card, but it can't be done through the website checkout. Register as a customer and send me a "Contact Us" email with the names of the items you wish to purchase, and I'll reply with your total and my Paypal ID. Then you can go to Paypal and make the payment, and your jewelry will be on its way!

  6. Can I check the delivery status of my order online?
    Yes, all you have to do is log in with your user name and password and you will be able to check whether your order is still being processed or has been dispatched. You will also receive an automated email, telling you when your order is being processed or has been dispatched. If you don't have a Paypal account and have paid directly, your shipping updates will come from my email, not through the North Beach Jewelry checkout system.

  7. Can you make something for me with shells I've found myself?
    Of course! Looking at the site, you'll be able to get an idea of how the shells and fragments can be used. Just email me through North Beach Jewelry, let me know what you have in mind, and we'll get started!
